SPRING EVENTS CANCELLED

Due to the current epidemic and the closing down of the university from 18 March onward, we have to cancel all SELMA events for this Spring. Since we cannot know for certain how long these measures will last, we are cancelling all the events scheduled for April and May – in accordance with university regulations that have suspended all teaching and events at least until 31 May.

We hope to reschedule the Spring SELMA events to the Autumn, including Rita Felski’s guest lecture. We will inform you about the updated Autumn programme by August 2020 the latest.

Last Friday we decided to cancel the IABA World conference that was due to take place in Turku in June: the conference is now rescheduled for next year, 15-18 June 2021. We will send information to all those who had already registered. We will also open the CFP for a short period in early Autumn. If you are interested in the conference, please follow the IABA webpage and social media channels (FB, Twitter) to get the updated information.

  1. Hello, I am very interested in your conferences as my current PhD research relates to many of the themes, for example, (hi)storytelling. I can see that many of the events and conferences planned for this year have been postponed to the autumn or to next year. I would like to be notified, so I can apply.
